For me, there's nothing sexier than a woman who can argue me into the ground and outsmart me.a woman who knows her own mind and isn't afraid to speak it. I've always kind of been the opposite, maybe because about 80% of my friends over the years have been women who were also strong, independent, and capable. They seem to find it easier to get into the psychology of a guy than a woman. I think a lot of that comes from the fact that guys were writing her for the most part, and guy writers tend to relate better to guy characters. Growing up, I always felt that she was a better character than her books, if that makes any sense.the stories tended toward being a bit precious, and definitely edged into being more about getting her into provocative poses (especially for a 12 year old) than really getting into her character. I've always had an affinity for strong, capable, intelligent female characters (Delenn, Ivanova, Christine Collins), and it probably started with Wonder Woman because she was the first such character that I'd come across at that age. Michael Straczynski: Superman was my gateway character, and through him I shortly discovered the JLA, Batman and Wonder Woman at about the same time, when I was maybe twelve. What about Wonder Woman – when did you first come across the character and what's your history with her? J. You mentioned you are a huge fan of Superman and have an extensive collection of memorabilia regarding the character. IGN Comics: Joe, I wanted to start this chat about Wonder Woman much in the way we did Superman last week.
